i would've never thought that Malaysia would be featured in Yahoo! Music News...nonetheless on the top of the list! click here to read...and here!

but my question here is that why aren't all the bands/musicians which won't be having any 'clothing issues' are making Malaysia part of their tours? i guess with this news, they would think twice before coming aye? i would love to see John Mayer, Maroon 5 among other people perform live in a show or two...

oh well, there's always online concerts i can see...isn't it? yay for that :)

i just realised that PGL the musical is about to end its run at the Istana Budaya (unless, they decided to do a comeback in the future...i sure hope so!!!)

and i've been PGL crazy for days...i think weeks...hehehe...i know but i guess all this craziness will soon fades and diminishes...*sad* but like the saying goes, all good things come to an end... and i leave my craziness with a picture of my PGL stuff...

hmmm...with great pleasure...i'm writing this now...let me present to everyone...

PUTERI GUNUNG LEDANG the Musical...

yes, i have watched it...and it was absolutely BRILLIANT!!! so amazing...!
seriously, it was so much better than i had expected...i was just in awe...impressed...at just about everything! from the cast's performance, especially the main 4 - Tiara, Stephen, AC Mizal and Adlin...to the sound, lighting, set design/ layout, costume, dance choreography - the people/ ensemble was just LOUD and ENERGENIC and FANTASTIC...the music, songs...lyrics...and i mean everything-lah! though there were few slips...but it was only the first day of the show...i'm sure they'll improve on it...as well as they can...and some of us did give standing ovation + loud applause + cheers...coz we were so damn impressed and proud of what was staged...!

though the down side of it was that they didnt have/ hold any meet the fans session after the show...which is something i was so looking forward to...but i guess no such luck/ rezeki on meeting my dear Stephen...hehe...hey, he's a hottie...i cant help it...oh well...*sigh*

Tiara Jacquelina

the Datin Seri, who's not only pretty...but talented in acting...well, we know she can sing (from PGL movie soundtrack) and dance apart from acting...but seriously, on this musical...i was astounded (yea confused wonder but in a good way!)...she can really deliver well...expresses emotions in acting and aiya, damn fantastico! and did y'all know that she won best actress award (and best producer too) at Asia Pacific Film Festival...for her portrayal of the Puteri (the princess) in the movie version??? ok-lah enough about her...

Stephen Rahman Hughes

known for being the lead in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams...that's in London, baby...but all in all...with training and with the talents he showcases, he deserves to play the ultimate malay warrior character, despite being half-Malaysian...plus, he is hot...so i am all for him being Hang Tuah...and the fact that he used to not speak Malay at all...was wow...coz he speaks fluently and sings beautifully (see what solid and dedicated training can do for you!)...also i think he captured all the hearts of all the women in the auditorium... hahahah...mine included, thank you very much! as my sister puts it, he was one of the reason we actually go and see the show - to see if he can act, sing and dance (oh hell yea he sure can!!!) and to see if he can truly speaks Malay all throughout the show...heheh... and seeing him perform, sure did shut us up...though seems like make us shout, boast and tell people how great he was in the PGLTM !!!...

AC Mizal

one time boyband lead member of 4U2C...he has gone a long way from those days into acting these days...i always love him act as this wacky, crazy and funny character (especially in Baik Punya Cilok), coz he's so good at it...but in this musical, he was just brilliant! being the angry brother of the princess i.e. the King of Majapahit...he really showed the character's anger to the MAX!!! and the singing helps...coz he brought it to life! cayalah...

Adlin Aman Ramlie

the son of a funnyman we all love back in the P. Ramlee days...he reprises his role of Sultan Mahmud of Malacca from the movie into the theatre...but this time, with the musical...he became more involved with the production side of it by being the co-director and lyricist...impressive, right?! yea...so was i...coz during it all...we were listening to the songs...and all his words...just amazing! plus, this time his portrayal is more splendid...as he seems more relaxed as the Sultan, overall fun and cool to watch...and not like in the movie, way too serious and at times just a tad annoying for my liking! hehe...sorry but hey, that's what i think anyways...

ok i've given my comment/ review on the show...now it's time for you all, especially those in KL at the moment, to experience it all...it ends on 26th February...so better hurry and get your tickets, before they sold out...better not miss it...or you'll regret it big time! oh yea, since i told you folks all about it...and make sure you tell everyone you know about it ok...i'm sure gonna let my friends at work know all about it...and rub it in their faces...
hahahahahahahahahahahaha...ergh...when did i become so evil? hehe...just kidding!

finally i sorta lepas tangan re trying to book tix for PGL the musical for people at the office...they just couldn't decide...

therefore, i left it to them to decide and book it, if they really wanna see it! ish ish...

on the other hand, i am going with my sisters on 7th Feb - first day of the musical...thus i'm somewhat putting a level of expectations...though i dunno what to expect...except for tiara and stephen to perform their hardest...also wanna see if they can act as star-crossed lovers...lovers, as in the malay culture of the past...also, the lyrics were written by non other than the sultan himself, Adlin Aman Ramlie - who also, co-directed and co-written the play...somewhat like giler kuasa-lah plak...heheh...

oh if i'm not mistaken, both tiara and stephen will sing this song...though i'm not really sure if it'll be same song that Vince sang for the PGL movie soundtrack...

what a long weekend it has been for me... up and down ...my feelings that is...but here's what i did...what did you do?

thursday: anyway, my weekend started off pretty ok...though started a bit late, as in i did catch up on my sleep... hehe...and then all dressed up and went to Istana Budaya to find out more info on the Puteri Gunung Ledang the Musical (PGLTM) and then watched Memoirs of a Geisha...

btw, the movie was interesting and i think the kid who played Chiyo was just so adorable, sweet and down right amazing...cinematography was awesome...and the movie won best music score at the Golden Globe too! and Zhang Zi Yi was amazing too...

friday: did a lil bit of shopping - a new pair of sandals, since my current sandals already out of shape and in serious condition to be replaced...also got some cool bargains on music cds...from the usual price of RM40++, it came down to just RM9.90!!! that is a bargain and i'm loving it!!! and did i tell ya, my sandals are awesome? hehe...well they are...hehe...and i used the vouchers (which i got from work) worth RM80 to shop...therefore, didnt really spend much...hehehe...

saturday: but this day i spent a lot...though i'll be getting my money back, hopefully! went to Istana Budaya with Atikah and we finally bought tix to see PGLTM!!! yay ...well, i bought tix for my friend, Ros and her friend...then went to Grandma's to dropped off chicken meat and some coconut stuff...and then we decided to catch a movie, Baik Punya Cilok...so we bought tix then went back home for prayers...

btw, the movie kinda started of slow...i dunno it just felt that way to me...but interestingly enough it has some tradtional elements as in the dikir barat, pantun/ puisi and the Kelantanese bit done by Na'a Murad (i'm always a fan when it comes to him!)...that was fun to watch! the story alone is enough to make you forget that Hans Isaac is wearing a wig! and when he was in the water the wig didnt fail him...so that's a big achievement too! hehe...

and we got home, my aunt and her family came over for a visit...finally i got to see my cousin sister's baby girl...Nur Adilah Aini...isn't that a cute name? she is cute ...and her eyes are just so sepet...hehe like my sister, Atikah ...heheh...so after a lil bit of catching up with them and had our prayers, we went to off to see the movie since we already bought the tix...though i asked my sister, Alia to not let them go back until we got home... hehe...so we get to see them after the movie and had some fun with the new baby girl...

sunday: lazy sunday...yea, basically stayed at home...did some reading, was online for awhile, watched a lil bit of tv and just being lazy...i know not very productive...

oh well, tomorrow...i mean today will be another day...hope it'll be better...though i heard some bad news at work...gosh, hope it's not that bad...if not i'll just might consider quitting! oh well...maybe...just maybe...

a long overdue update to end 2005...

had my graduation/ convocation ceremony in december but the entire event was featured in local newspapers and magazines earlier in the year...thus had few articles featuring yours truly...and other fellow graduates

did my part in helping out by donating as much as i can to the tsunami funds...one include attending the Force of Nature concert...helped out as well as had fun, even met up with an old friend...though at the time, my sister kinda ruined the night by having a wee bit accident few hours before...*sigh*...

donated blood for the very first time...!!! it was a pretty pleasant experience though the needle was too huge for my liking...hehe...(see i'm a brave girl, no?)

this year marks a long list of weddings that i've been invited to and attended most of them!!!
my schoolmates: Radeyah(Yah), Hafiz, Kamal,
my collegemate: Siti Norehan(Rehan),
my colleagues: Fadzilah(Dila), Aida, Ros(Ana), Balen, Zuraihan(An), Safiah (Piah), and
my cousin: Indra

this year's music scene has much more to offer, from the old to the new...some new names stuck with me include Il Divo, Peter Cincotti, Peter Pan, Farah (Malaysian Idol), Tyler Hilton, PCD, Fort Minor...and i love songs from Gol & Gincu soundtrack album...hmm...

been reading a lot this year...alhamdulillah...among them are 3 of Dan Brown's book (the Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demon and Digital Fortress), first 2 of the Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter latest, HP and the Half-Blood Prince and also re-read HP and the Goblet of Fire...oh yea, i did start on some books but had to keep them aside...but i'm sure i'll get to reading them next year, inshaAllah...also discovered new magazines, Malaysian version of OK! and FX magazine, which comes with FREE MOVIE POSTERS!!!

speaking of magazines, i kinda started off writing articles for a magazine called Ezone...but after coming back from London, i kinda stopped or shall i say writer's block of some sort...but i hope i can start writing again...inshaAllah...

and speaking of movies, this year had some of the biggest blockbusters (if not, flops...hehe)...some of them i did watch at the cinema, some had to just watch at home...add this to my family history, when went to a midnight show on the day of release of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith...hehe...and we even got a mentioned on the newspaper!!! of course, some of movies worth mentioning are Sepet, Gol & Gincu, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, the Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...gosh there's just too many...but it will do

career-wise, it was a great experience to train other people about my process, which was Payment Services...where i got nicknamed as the LOUD and STERN trainer (bising & garang...hahaha) ...and proud to see them grow...and also, made my move into a new process...and had the opportunity to travel...(see next point) as well as meeting the best 3 new people to work with...

alhamdulillah, i had the chance to visit England...well some part of it anyway...London, Bath, Lacock and Salisbury...within 3 weeks of training...i am so grateful that i went and had this experience of a lifetime...being on another country on my own (well yea, in a way...without my family around)...

well, had a pretty nasty accident...thankfully just involved me and my car...spinned 180 degrees on the road and stuck into the small drain...5 kind and friendly guys helped me out in this situation...and all was well, alhamdulillah...lessons learned and had to forked out money to get the car run like normal again...and did i mention i had a minor accident a little under a month after the nasty one...car is ok though the bumper could use a repair...*sigh*...

i kinda did feel down few times this year (the accident did help with that...) but nothing i cant handle...and thanks to those who have been concerned...shows that i still have friends to share problems with...but i think this year, i kinda been blinded by something that wasn't there in the first place (and someone too)...coz i was probably the only one who feels it more...though it was fun but it doesnt last...i been clouded by these feelings...but i vow that it wont bring me down...inshaAllah...

hmmm...it took me around 2 hours to think back and write this entry...hope 2005 ends well...inshaAllah and that 2006 will bring better things in my life...and to yours too...

i wanna wish Merry X'mas to those who are celebrating and to everyone, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2006!!! and Happy Holidays...

and i'm gonna try and chill out this long weekend that i'm having...starting from today until the Boxing Day...(remember, i follow UK time, thus its holiday too! heheh)...until i write again, which could be next week...or sooner or later...take care and be safe...

it has been almost 3 months since my last post...hehe...where have i been? what have i been up to? why was i away so long from this blog? how come i'm only updating now? when will be my next post after this one?

aaahh...so many questions i'm giving myself on behalf of this lonely blog...hehe...i know i know i'm beginning to sound weird these days...i dont blame you if you're feeling like hopping to the next blog in line...hehe...

here goes, within the space of 3 months i've been moving into another department, called ODI - overdraft interest...and for that move i was given a chance to be trained at the bank's HQ office in Canary Wharf!!! so, yes i was in London for mere 3 weeks (as oppose to other new departments that went for 4 weeks, 5 or even 7 weeks!!!) ...i know i should NOT complain but i just wish we could've stayed LONGER!!!

London was simply amazing and one of the best places i've been...did some sightseeing in London - saw with my own eyes - Big Ben, Tower Bridge (though people might confuse it with the ever-so-famous London Bridge, Madame Tussauds, Hyde Park, Buckhingham Palace...also went to touch THE Stonehenge!!!

so after coming back from London, we're started to do work which was obtained and learnt within the 3 weeks...and some were disasters, some were still in the dark, some were just frustrating...though we're got through it and now, i'd say we're pretty ok with the work and it's getting a lot as we speak!!! that's work for ya!

i know i kinda neglect to post an update here...oh well, i am here now arent i? hehe...it's tough keeping tabs on more than 1 blogs...hehehe...who's fault?! surely not mine...heheh...i'm udpating now coz i dont wanna leave it shy with my London experience... ;)

i better get some sleep now...i know it's the weekend but hey i'm tired and my mind, body and soul need some rest...and my next post will be whenever i remember to check and give it an update...

well, it sure has been almost a year since my last post in here, gosh a lot of things has happened...and most certainly i've somewhat abandoned it but now i'm back!!!

better than ever, i hope!...hard to say since i need to sort out few things about blogging here...

read my entry on this blog and it was about father's day! that has been a year coz had celebrated father's day with my dad this year...but still he is outstationed a lot...no worries! i still love you, abah!!! so this year gave abah a Man Utd official t-shirt...which got at a sale...hehe...he still have it in the wardrobe...still in its plastic cover...hehe...i dunno...hope he'll wear it soon when gets back home...

also realised that a year ago this date, i was jobless and still dunno what to do with my life...i guess i'm pretty glad that i landed this job that i'm currently at...coz i've met loads of different, interesting people whom i treasure friendships with...coz we do spend most hours of the day together at the office... ;) love you guys!!!

at the moment, i'm training new people fresh from the induction class...to my Q...hopefully this time, we'll have have fun...and less stress for me!!! aaahh...just hope for the best! maybe i'll keep posting from time to time and not neglect this blog of mine...

updates! updates! updates!

hehe...nothing of importance to shout about but some are worth mentioning nonetheless!

1) unexpected drama happened at the classes i'm attending! the lecturer walked out from teaching after the principal refused to give her salary for month of june as she wanted to resign without any notification! phew! so we had few hours of class, so then mary and i went to see a movie at KLCC...hehe...hey at least some good came out of the whole commotion! btw, mary was really kind enough to pay for my movie ticket (she's just so nice! ;) thanks mary)

2) so instead of finishing our computerized accounting classes, we continue with the costing + budgeting classes - mrs jothi is teaching ;)

3) finally got enough persuasion in myself to buy Jamie Cullum's Twentysomething album - in cassette form (soon it'll be kaput since i'm playing it almost every hour of everyday coz he's just soooo smooth and the music is just sooooooo soothing...aaahhh ;)
hoping he'll pop in to KL for a visit since he is touring! anyone needs more info on jamie, go to www.jamiecullum.com

4) again on GUY! he just cant get enough of malaysia coz he's coming for a visit...dinner at hard rock cafe KL!!! hope i get to be lucky again (where guy is concerned) and got to share pizza with the man!

well...haven't posted anything in awhile...been pretty busy with that accounting classes i've been attending...all that been great! good teachers, great companies, good classes...worth my dad's money...and my time! hehe...

about that ACCA thing, yea i might skip that and do as the original plan as discussed with my dad, so i'm gonna do that CFA...hopefully all in good time, i'll be that finance person i've always envisioned myself to be. gotta strive harder and read more...hmm...

umi and abah outstation again...on freaking father's day! aiseyman...what-lah! umi now decided to work with UTM again...she proposed that i should handle all her other non-UTM stuff! like whoa...what a news! well we're gonna plan this properly so it all falls into place and in smooth transition...wish me luck! bon soir, folks!

well, i'm back in school...well not quite but i am now taking an accounting course which also allows me to take ACCA exams if i wanted too then i could get a BSc...as well! isn't that exciting...but in order for me to take the ACCA exams, gotta ask me dad first...about the money and all...at 2-day mark on my course, so far so good...got few sets of accounts i've never come across with...tough but i'm gonna try and learn it anyway...if all goes well by the end of june, i'll be finished and have a certificate of professional accounting practical...then if i pursue that ACCA - well on my way to add internationally certified qualification to my diploma and degree...

i've been taking a little inquiries here and there on studying to do Masters overseas (nearest would be in australia - maybe in brisbane)...but i dunno, if i get the funding and all goes well, maybe...i dunno...

wow the blogger certainly looks even more impressive...isn't it??? this is so cool...anyway, finished MUET speaking today around 10.10am...i was grouped with 2 guys from SE and networking whom i know (wan and sham) and with another girl, not so familiar with...went very well i might add, i remembered the tips one teacher gave me not to rush - talking like train...lol and then i started the group discussion...hopefully got some extra marks for that...hehe...praying for my results to be better than most people hope for...insyaAllah...

of course, with the ends of MUET, mom would've like me to come to work with her...help her around the office and such and learn the ropes at the office! i'll try my best, umi! and yeah, happy mother's day...to u, umi...u know i love you.

interesting stuff happened today...after the test, thought of settling my RHB atm card but the queue was just too long and then i went straight to midvalley to see VAN HELSING!!! wow, what a movie...and hugh jackman never look so good (apart from being wolverine and leopold)...although when he turned to the powerful being...a bit weird-lah! hehe...

also, on friendster...got a message from an old friend, marzuq...wahh after this for sure i'll keep in touch with the rest of the azam geng...btw, if anyone of you guys reading this, how are you guys been??? and now i'm watching indiana jones and the last crusade...just love harrison ford in action with sean connery...! and then wanna catch up on my fave show, the O.C....laters!

well, we all balik kampung on monday and came back home yesterday...nenek's kampung...since my kampung are both in KL...hehe...but nice to see the house again...a bit of work was put into in making it liveable like we all did on monday...everyone pitched in...finally i have a kampung outside KL...hehe...it is in kuala selangor...pretty ok place...sayang takde sungai!...i just love sungai...hehe...

still dok thinking about my MUET speaking paper on 10th...harim dah lepas dah...a bit scared plak...hehe...i guess i just have to remember the teacher's tips and dont rush myself when talking...hmm...harim, any other tips??? wish me luck!

right latest happenings...yesterday was kak intan's (or siti farawahida) wedding...really nice event...blue colour was the theme of the whole occasion...i went to the kenduri kahwin together with emmy and her sister, narita and her sister, tia and her bf and shazli and bai. all in different cars~but we went there together...follow the leader...hehe...

then later we met the bride was getting ready and all then we savour the food (yummy)...then we met rehan, mihah and their friends then later chea and kak ngah arrived~apparently they helped out with the wedding preparation and stuff...so sweet of them, right? and yea, everyone did look their best and i must say...wow...hehe...of course, weddings usually made most of us dressed up pretty nicely!...

i was kinda hoping to meet the others and some of our lecturers but maybe they were late...Congrats kak intan and hubby, may you both be blessed with lots of happiness, success, health, kids and staying power...*starts singing* selamat pengantin baru...

gosh, what a week with the Idols in Malaysia (especially my fave, Guy Sebastian~Australian Idol and he's half-Malaysian-born in Malaysia, some more...heheh)...i'm so over the moon...

his showcase was fun but was kinda short/brief...only 4 songs (same songs which he performed at gareth's concert according to chris). when doves cry, all i need is you, climb every mountain and encore~angels brought me here...apart from that, i received 4 copies of angels brought me here from Hitz.fm (from winning the passes) and gave each to my mom and sisters...wish i was at the showcase again...listening and seeing him sing his heart out for his fans here in malaysia=home!

...but then i met him at the autograph session at Sunway...what a long wait but so worth it! hope he read my letter and my poems i gave him...hehe...

it was so amazing to see him performing...with that voice...aaahhh...i can melt easily...at the meet the fans session, met Madiha, 12 year old girl~so sweet, anyway she was living in perth when the australian idol started and a fan of Guy ever since...everyone says...awwww...

well gareth touched down KL yesterday and what a chase...they literally swift gareth off with lightning speed...(certainly exceed the speeding limit...mmm)...guy's arriving on 7th at 1am!!! still wondering if i should greet him to his birth country, Malaysia...any takers?

mom made a surprised by hiring an Indonesian maid...most probably to look after my grandma and help out around the house (not that we dont do chores and all...hmm)...with that note, had to say goodbye to 'makcik'~gonna miss u 'makcik'...*sob*...

i been really slow in updating after a remark made by me dear old pal, markie...i respect his view but i like writing...this is fun! anywho...been a driver for the family for a day and boy i tell ya, tiring...driving here and there and everywhere...and KL traffic is nothing to kid about!

virtual dating? does that even exist? does it counts when 2 persons of different time zones and different places are brought together by the Net and watching the same movie at the same time (as in real time)? well that what happened to me...feels weird but fun nonetheless...hehe...(one person in KL and the other is in Illinois) hmmm...any thoughts?

other stuff: guy sebastian gonna be in town...will i be able to go see him perform? i wonder...also who's gonna host the Malaysian idol, since the auditions start today?!! any opinions? hmm...i was comtemplating to send my resume to be a host! isnt that a funny thought?! hmmm...

finally last night before my fave saturday nite's shows were on, i managed to get a picture on this blog and it's a picture of adam brody (a.k.a. seth cohen in the O.C.)...i been a fan ever since i saw him in gilmore girls as dave! then later in the movie, 'grind' and now i can see him at least once a week on the telly! hehe...

well, did vote today...went out from the house around 8.20am and went over to the voting place...(at first attempt, i went to the wrong school...duh! hehe). i'd say my first voting experience went alright especially having to exercise not just my rights but both my legs and body (climbing up and going down the hill to SRK seksyen 10!)...thanks to my sister (who's underage by the way) for accompanying me to the voting place...since my parents and grandma went to vote at their usual place in dato' keramat...

yeah being sick on and off is something i find a bit unpleasant what with running nose, tiresome body and itchy eyes...well, gotta bare with it i guess...with loads of water and vitamin C and other medicine...hope this weeks to come will be awesome (hoping to recover...hehe)...

missed the gathering my classmates were throwing in shah alam as i was initially down with the fever...miss you guys already! adios...

of course update from my previous entry. well i didn't go to the Girls' Day Out event, i was just too lazy to begin with...but my sister went with her friends and brought back some brochures and stuff from the event. later i'll write more on it, ok.

well since i met harim today, asked her to help me on how i should go about posting pictures at the blog, well first try - the picture didn't come out/ upload, then few more tries - i got it but then decide to make changes to it and now, the picture won't come up on blog...hmm...i should try again...maybe when i'm not so frustrated like right now...hehe...

finally, my own blog...how fun this could be, huh? anyway, i need some pointers from harim coz she's the expert in making her blog design so fabulous and just damn awesome...harim, help me please?

what else is new? hmm...oh yeah, bryan left westlife to be with his family...especially to the women in his life - kerry, molly and lily...oh well...life goes on. not saying that westlife will be the same without bryan, it'll definitely getting some time getting use to but it is his decision to make...all the best bry! and to all other westlife fans...well keep on supporting westlife! i know i will although not as vigorious as the old days...hehe...westlife is a part of me growing up...so i can't easily ignore 'em...i love them! i know i am admitting it...but who cares...

oh another big news! i am proud to say that i am done with my degree...what a rush and busy final semester! thankfully, it all went well despite some bumps on the road getting my assignments done, preparing for tests, exams and my final project - complete with presentation and report. happy that it had been great experience! thanks to all whom have helped me tremendously especially puan norizah - you never stop believing in me...thanks, puan!

but here comes the sad part...most of my friends gonna leave for their hometown soon and i dunno when i will see them again but of course i'll be seeing them on graduation day...but not everyday like i use to for about 2 years now...*sob* oh well...hope to keep in touch with all you guys - rehan, guan, addy, emmy, kak ngah, che a, fan, ros, tia, kak intan, mihah, ina, mimi, mai, linut, indrani, bai, ta, koki, kogi, ghai, prema, saiful, md. noor, david, zai, watha, li, chin, jali, simba, berry...be good and all the best for all your futures!!! p/s: nanti kalau kahwin, tu haa...hulur2 lah kad jemputan, ok!
